Professional Teeth Whitening
The Professional teeth whitening methods are usually done by the dentists. The laser treatment of the treatment with the peroxide bleaching solution is most common methods used. Under these whitening techniques the dentist will suggest two methods of treatment, with by in-office or at-home whitening methods.
Both of the above methods mentioned are having their own pros and cons when it comes to whitening of teeth. One should consult the dentist and know which the right treatment among the two for your teeth. Since most of us will be confused on deciding which the best treatment out of the two?
In both of the methods, the Hydrogen peroxide is used; it is a bleaching solution that is used to remove the stains present on the teeth. The higher the concentration, the more effective it will be in the treatment. Most of those equipments and whitening solutions that are being used by the dentist is easily available in the market. Most of the solutions have a seal of approval by the American Dental Association.
The Professional teeth bleaching are done when the patient selects to go for the in-office treatment. Here the whitened is applied to the teeth after the dentist examines the condition and then decides how much strength of the solution is required. Before applying the whitener, the dentist makes custom made trays that will fit tightly to the teeth nicely without having any gap. The whitening gel in put in these trays and applied to the teeth. As the trays are custom made, the solution reaches easily to all corners of the teeth without any leakage since no gaps will be there. Laser light is used to accelerate the bleaching process thus speeding the treatment procedure. The Process take around 1 hour and this needs to be repeated at the dentist office 2 or 3 times to get better results.
At home method also uses the same process; the only difference is getting those trays from the market available in standard sizes. As they are not custom made, they may or may not fit nicely to the teeth. One has to put the trays overnight and continue this process for 2 or 3 weeks, since light is not used here.
The Pros of the treatments are that one will get immediate results on going for the professional teeth whitening method but it costs more that the at home methods. The cons that may come for those going for such treatments is getting tooth sensitivity or damage to the tooth enamel or gums when the gel leaks.
