Teeth Whitening Toothpastes
We have found that each of the dental product that is available in the market claims to have successful formula in whitening teeth, lot of advertisements and branding will surely make one confused on deciding which one is the prefect Teeth whitening toothpaste. Few may stand by on what it claims while the rest are failures. The Drug stores claim that their toothpaste is the best when it comes to whitening teeth or fighting plaque or shielding sensitivity teeth. Sounds good, but do they really serve the purpose. From laboratory tests it's found out that maximum of these tooth pastes do not have any connectivity or formula related to teeth whitening.
Drugstore aisles teem with toothpastes claiming to do everything from fighting plaque or curbing tartar to freshening breath or shielding sensitive teeth. But the most prominent claim, whitening teeth, can be misleading. The fine print reveals that most products promise to whiten by removing stains, not by lightening the base color of the teeth.
Moreover, our tests of 41 toothpastes found no correlation between those claims and stain-removing ability. Even the seven toothpastes that contain peroxide, the main bleaching ingredient in whitening strips and professional treatments, lightened or bleached out stains no better overall than other toothpastes.
So, the questions may come to us like, is that Toothpaste the right one? What composition is required while selecting the toothpaste? Shall I need to take any advice for buying a teeth whitening toothpaste? Will the toothpaste give any side effect? To get answers to these questions, one should know about the teeth whitening toothpastes.
Most of the teeth whitening toothpaste contain abrasive particles which may be calcium carbonate or aluminum oxide. When we brush our teeth, the bristles of the toothbrush along with these abrasive particles work on the teeth to remove the stains.
The teeth whitening toothpastes are again different from the peroxide based teeth whitener toothpastes. The Peroxide ones create a bleaching effect whereas the non bleaching toothpaste or the teeth whitening toothpastes work on removing the accumulated debris present the external surface of the teeth. Of course nowadays the teeth whitening paste are also including the peroxide solution in their formulas though at low levels only. But its is also important to know here that the higher the peroxide level, the better will the effect take place on the teeth whitening.
Most of the stains that are present on the teeth are caused due to the external debris that sticks to the teeth. So, the primary goal should be to remove that debris by choosing good toothpaste and the toothbrush with bristles that can scrub the inner and external layers of the teeth better.
